How to create a dependants search

I was wondering how you go about creating a dependants search.  The kind that only lists related items.  Eg if a car make was a ford then only ford related cars would be displayed.  Thanks for any pointers.

Hello!!

I am not sure what is your exact requirement, but here are couple of things i do to link the data

1. Create Master detail blocks
2. In add page , select the particular item and build a list with Dynamic Select Lookup
3. In the List page property, use the where clause

I hope these points are helpful,

Cheers

I think thats what it is.  I saw somewhere, think it was phprunner that if you had a list of different cars say Ford.  If you had dropdown menu and selected ford the next dropdown would only show you ford makes.  Hope this is explained better.  I thought it was linked or dependants or something.  Will look into your points.  Thanks.

Ok, then please look at In add page , select the particular item and build a list with Dynamic Select Lookup.. it filters based on another filter.
