Uncheck a checkbox field is not updating record

I have a VARCHAR field in a table. In a Add view the Field Properties is Checkbox with no Options, not required. After check on record, I´ve tried to uncheck it but its boxes turned to red color and doesn´t let me update the record.

Any clues?
