How to have dynamic dropdown lists

If i wanted to have a field on a form called Car Manufacturer, and in that drop down would be BMW, Audi, Ford etc, When ever a user chooses say ford, it will then produce a subfield underneath it with all the ford models.

This must be possible, I just can't work out how.
