How to add options to a Select?

Added an Add form for the select item under the Add form for the master document but this returns to the Select file and not the current Add file, can this be changed or adding a select item made simpler??

Not sure what you're looking for; please be more clear and specific so that I can understand what you want to achieve.

Are you looking for a drop-down Select Form Control to be filled with the values from another table in database? OR you want to manually specify the values for the drop-down Select Form Control?
